In March 2020, BGIS upgraded more than 1,000 incandescent lamps to LEDs at the Wharf Woolloomooloo car park within the Garden Island Naval Precinct, Sydney. The project brief and scope included:

 

•      The supply of 850 x 1200mm TRIPROOF Intellisensor lights, with in-built detection and time-base sensors

•      Ensuring recycling and disposal process followed guidelines required for Energy Savers Certificates (ESC)

•      Engaging electrical contractors for installation, and then managing the installation process

•      Working directly with Authorised Certificate Providers (ACPs) in relation to the rebate details.

 

With motion sensor technology in each light, the upgrade will reduce energy usage by up to 75% and improve illumination, making the car park safer for Department of Defence customers.
