PROJECT VALUE: $214,000
In March 2020, BGIS upgraded more than 1,000 incandescent lamps to LEDs at the Wharf Woolloomooloo car park within the Garden Island Naval Precinct, Sydney. The project brief and scope included:
• The supply of 850 x 1200mm TRIPROOF Intellisensor lights, with in-built detection and time-base sensors
• Ensuring recycling and disposal process followed guidelines required for Energy Savers Certificates (ESC)
• Engaging electrical contractors for installation, and then managing the installation process
• Working directly with Authorised Certificate Providers (ACPs) in relation to the rebate details.
With motion sensor technology in each light, the upgrade will reduce energy usage by up to 75% and improve illumination, making the car park safer for Department of Defence customers.
